Arenales del Sol Beach

The Playa de Arenales del Sol is the home beach of Vista del Sol — the long sandy shore that gives this small resort its name and its character. Stretching for nearly three kilometres along the seafront, it is one of the longest and most accessible beaches in the Gran Alacant area, and the one that most guests visit most frequently during their stay.

The beach faces southeast and catches the morning sun beautifully. The sand is fine and pale — almost white in the bright summer light — and the water is typically calm, clear and warm from June through to October. Sunbed and parasol hire is available at multiple points along the shore, and several beach bars operate throughout the summer season serving drinks, snacks and simple hot dishes.

The paseo marítimo — the seafront promenade — runs behind the beach for much of its length and is ideal for the classic Spanish evening paseo: a leisurely stroll as the heat of the afternoon gives way to the cooler evening air. Local restaurants along the promenade serve fresh fish and traditional rice dishes, often with tables set out to enjoy the sea view.

What sets Arenales del Sol apart from the bigger resort beaches further north is its relative tranquillity. Even in the height of summer, the beach never reaches the density of Benidorm or Torrevieja. The atmosphere remains pleasantly low-key and genuinely Spanish — a beach for relaxation rather than entertainment.
